Nitrous Oxide Dental Sedation
The most common form of sedation, nitrous oxide (or laughing gas) is typically used for those with mild to moderate levels of dental anxiety, fear or phobia. The gas is inhaled through a nasal mask that is worn throughout your appointment. The fast-acting substance provides immediate effects, but can easily be removed so you can continue your day without lasting drowsiness. You’ll still be awake during treatment, so you can tell us your comfort levels during care.
